Launched on April 16th, 1974. Breaking away from convention of summer, it marked its shocking debut as a summer foundation that does not use water. Light and dry to touch, "SUMMERD" was unique and different from any other existing foundation in that it didn't make the skin dry or stiff even when women were stuck in an air-conditioned room for a long time. Moreover, its finish was clear and natural while covering the skin thoroughly. It felt new to the women of the time that it was matte even though it was a liquid type.
