Powder foundation was very convenient, but could not be used with a wet sponge in the summer like the cake type. When used with water, powder molecules became moist and stuck to each other, and a sponge could not take. We then developed another new powder treatment technology to work toward powder foundation that can be used with water comfortably while retaining the ability to finish flawlessly just like the cake type. Silicon used to make powder water repellent made it possible for this first-ever "two-way foundation" to be used "with or without water". Behind this technology, there was a researcher with such a peculiar idea, who thought "we can do this by putting a rain coat over powder."
